VOWMOURN JOURNAL / ABOUT THE BRAND

Why Vowmourn
exists.

Vowmourn started with an interest in alternative clothing and the different styles that fall under it. Goth, grunge, emo, punk; there's a lot to take from, and you don't have to stick to just one.

That's where we're starting. Clothes that draw from those influences, with designs that have something behind them.

The name

A vow is a promise, while mourning is about carrying something you've lost. Putting them together felt right for a brand whose first designs deal with things like identity, change and perseverance.

Those ideas show up in different ways. Perseverance uses distressed lettering and thermal imagery across the back. Sacrifice takes a more abstract approach, with layered shapes and distortion. The Fallen Seraph begins with a figure and the idea of what happens after a fall.

What we're making

The collection includes two hoodies, a long sleeve, two tees, a beanie and high tops. Each graphic design has its own number and a bit about it on the product page, so you can get a better look before deciding if it's for you.

How we're starting

Everything is made after it's ordered. This lets us start without producing a lot of stock upfront, though it does mean you'll need to allow time for production before your order ships. We've put that information in the shipping policy.

There's more we want to do with Vowmourn. We're building from here.
